ANDERSON, Ind. – The Earlham College volleyball team took a four-set win in conference play at Anderson University on Wednesday evening.
Caylee Brandes led the Quakers with 14 kills and a .306 hitting percentage and three blocks. Reigning HCAC Offensive Player of the Week
Addison Piatt scored 13 kills with a .324 attack percentage, four blocks and 10 digs.
Gabby Gerardi tallied a team-high eight blocks.
Ava Walters dished out a season-high 36 assists with 12 digs.
Sydney Bleyle recorded 11 assists.
Madison Bizjak led the back row with 19 digs.
As a team, the Quakers scored 55 kills with a .296 attack percentage, four aces and 11 blocks.
Earlham swung at over a .440 clip in both of the first two sets, combining for just four offensive errors to begin the match. The Ravens opened set three with a 7-1 run, which proved insurmountable for the Quakers as they battled to a 25-22 set loss.
The Quakers opened set four on a 16-7 run, and forced a .041 hitting percentage from Anderson in the set due to nine hitting errors.
The Quakers are back in action next Wednesday at home against Bluffton University. First serve is scheduled for 7 pm.
