NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Earlham College men's basketball team dropped a non-conference matchup at Muskingum University over fall break.
Bud Davis led the Quakers with 20 points, six rebounds, six rebounds and one steal.
Tommy Reddick and
Noah Gathings scored 12 and 13 points respectively.
Connor Smith led the team in rebounding with seven boards.
The Quakers scored 50 points from inside the paint, and made just two of 14 3-point shots on the evening. Earlham went 1-for-10 in the second half from beyond the arc.
The Quakers jumped out to a 12-2 lead after six minutes of play, but the Muskies worked a 12-5 run to trail 17-14 with 10 minutes remaining in the first half. Trailing 33-26, the hosts scored nine straight points in the final 90 seconds of the half.
Four minutes into the second half, Earlham led 43-37, but a Muskies 3-pointer put Muskingum ahead 51-50 with just over 10 minutes remaining in the second half.
Earlham continues its fall break on Saturday at Asbury University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm.
