Men's lacrosse takes win over Anderson, clinches postseason berth

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's lacrosse team pulled off an 11-10 win over conference rival Anderson University on Wednesday evening in Darrell Beane Stadium.

Elijah Gamber led the Quakers with four goals and one assist on the day. Henry McAlhaney and Khaline Truell both scored two goals. Liam McGlynn led the QUaker back line with nine caused turnovers and five ground balls. Ryan Dolafi collected nine saves in the win.

The Quakers held a narrow lead through most of the contest, pulling ahead 54 by halftime, and 9-8 at the end of the third quarter. Gamber scored a goal with just over 10 minutes remaining to give EC a two-goal lead.

Anderson scored with 8:47 remaining in the fourth quarter, but Gamber scored his final goal of the game with 52 seconds remaining to give the home squad a slightly larger lead in the final minute. The goal was needed as the Ravens scored on a fast break with 39 seconds remaining.

The Quakers conclude their regular season on Saturday at Hanover College. With a 2-1 conference mark, the Quakers are locked in to the HCLC playoff, and will look at a likely rematch with the Panthers in the first round of the tournament.
