RICHMOND, Ind. – The Quakers finished strong to claim 2nd place at 2025 Earlham Spring Invitational at Richmond Elks Country Club and Arthur Del Bourgo (So., Metz, France) lost a 3-hole playoff for the individual champion.

Del Bourgo birdied the final hole to force a playoff with IU-East's Sam Firebaugh. The linksters had 8 birdies in the last three holes to close the gap with IU-East to 6 six shots but couldn't overcome the 9-shot deficit after day one.

Head Coach Matt Brown said, "We had the low team score today, and Arthur had the low individual round of the tournament. We are really competing now. I love this team's drive to win. Also, seeing our B-Team beat four schools A-Team speaks to the depth of our program right now."

Mychal McKelvey (Sr., Plain City, OH) joined Del Bourgo on the All-Tournament Team with a T-4 finish. Ben Pratt (Sr., Athens, OH) and Vassily Lombard (Jr., Vineuil-SaintFirmin, France) finished tied for 9th place.  

Brown added, "It was fun seeing faculty and students at the tournament this weekend, for many, their first golf tournament. It speaks to the support that we have for our program, and the real sense of community that makes Earlham special!"

The Quakers resume competition in the Otterbein Easter Leftovers tournament on Monday.
