RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team won its first HCAC postseason match since the program was brought back in 2022 with a 5-2 victory over Franklin College in the HCAC Quarterfinals.
The Quakers were led by their four all conference honorees, who all picked up wins in singles play.
Vanessa Akuaku took the win at No.1 singles 6-3, 6-1, while
Lawrencia Manu won No.2 singles 6-4, 6-1.
Mackenzie Davis won her match at No.3 singles 6-1, 6-2.
Natalee McCann rounded the singles lineup with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No.5.
In doubles play, Akuaku and Manu took a No.1 win 6-2, and Davis and
Paige Hobbs took a 6-3 win at No.2 doubles.
The Quakers move on to play Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the HCAC Semifinal on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis.
