PENDLETON, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team defeated Rose-Hulman in the HCAC Semifinal 4-2 on Saturday afternoon.
All three Quakers who were named to the first team all-conference earlier this week took singles wins over the Engineers.
Vanessa Akuaku led the Quakers with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No.1 singles.
Lawrencia Manu won at No.2 singles 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
Mackenzie Davis won her No.3 singles matchup 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles play, Akuaku and Manu took the win at No.1 7-6.
Paige Hobbs joined Davis for a 6-1 win at No.2 doubles.
The Quakers will take on Transylvania University tomorrow at 1:30 pm for the HCAC Championship. The match will take place inside Community Sport and Wellness at Pendleton, Ind. Live coverage will be available on goearlham.com.
