Men's lacrosse wins big on Senior Day

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's lacrosse team began conference play with a 12-3 win over Spalding University on Saturday in Darrell Beane Stadium. 

Robbie Gift led the offense with three goals and three assists for six points. Ryan Polack also scored three goals, and dished out two assists. Polack was also a defensive leader, causing three turnovers with seven ground balls. Elijah Gamber scored two goals on Senior Day. 

Ryan Dolafi earned his second win of the season, and collected 11 saves on 25 shots by the Golden Eagles. 

The Quakers took the lead off of a pair of goals in the opening five minutes of action. Spalding retaliated with a goal at the 9:50 mark, but Earlham still led 5-2 at halftime. Only two goals were scored in the third quarter, with Earlham increasing its lead on two man-up opportunities. 

Earlham outshot Spalding 54-25, and was successful on 26-30 clears. The Quaker defense held the Golden Eagles to 55% on clears. 

The Quakers continue HCLC action next Saturday at Transylvania University.
