RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College Men's Golf team finished 3rd in the HCAC Championship this weekend.
Buoyed by their recent tournament win at Kalamazoo, the Quakers pushed runner-up #39 Transylvania before falling by 9 shots. Unranked Rose-Hulman defended their conference title at Forest Hills Country Club. The Quakers finished 20 shots ahead of 4th place Franklin in the 54-hole event.
The Quakers placed the entire starting five in the top 20 led by
Vassily Lombard (Jr., Vineuil-Saint-Firmin, France) who finished 4th notching his third All-Tournament team in a row.
Mychal McKelvey (Sr., Plain City, OH) and
Adam Strecker (Sr., Apopka, FL. finished 14th and 16th respectively and
Charles Bowen-Rayner (Sr., London, England) and
Arthur Del Bourgo (So., Metz, France) tied for 18th.
"I'm out of superlatives for this crew!" said Head Coach
Matt Brown, "Between the starting five, we had 13 All-Tournament performances, 2 tournament champions, 1
team title and 6 top 3's in 11 tournaments this year. It should go down as the greatest team in Earlham Men's Golf history."
The new-look '25-'26 Quakers open action August 29-30 at the Lou Collins Invitational in Battle Creek, Mich.
