RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College baseball team split a doubleheader with Mount St. Joseph University in Sadler Stadium on Senior Night.
GAME ONE: EARLHAM 9 MSJ 8 (10 Innings)
Kyle Jeffries started game one on the mound, and threw five innings with six hits and three strikeouts.
Braeden Lewis allowed one hit over 2.2 innings in relief.
Garret Odey earned the win with two innings pitched, and no hits allowed.
Noah Rosato led the Quakers at the plate with three hits, two RBI and a home run.
Jonathan Jimenez scored three hits with one double, one RBI, and four steals.
Jimenez hit a leadoff single in the bottom of the first inning, and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Sean Jeffries to take a 1-0 lead.
Dylan Rieck hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning, and Jimenez earned an RBI with a double down the left field line.
The Lions took the lead in the top of the third inning after scoring four runs on three hits and two Quaker errors. The visitors then plated two runs on three hits, while chasing the Quaker starter in the sixth inning.
Rieck led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a solo homer to straight-away center field, travelling at least 400 feet to the longest part of the ballpark. Rosato then tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with a two-run homer to right field.
Earlham sent seven batters to the plate in the eighth inning, scoring two runs on three hits. MSJ responded with two runs in the top of the ninth to tie the game at eight.
Rosato led off the bottom of the tenth inning with a single to center field, and
Luke Rykard came in to pinch run on his senior night.
Noah Wagster laid down a successful sac bunt, and Rykard scored on an RBI-single by fellow senior
Quin Adelson.
GAME TWO: EARLHAM 6 MSJ 17 (7 Innings)
Casey Blevins went 3.2 innings with four strikeouts and two earned runs as the Quaker starter. Seniors
Dillon Bandi and
David Lally both saw action on the mound, and
Vincent Witte closed out the game with the final out.
Mitchell Roether led the Quakers offensively with three RBI and two runs scored.
Noah Rosato had another two-hit game. Wagster stole two bags.
Reece Zonts hit an RBI-single in the bottom of the first inning to bring home Jimenez after the outfielder hit a leadoff single. Roether then added a three-run homer to left field for a 4-0 Quaker lead.
Trailing 5-2, the Lions scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning, and six runs in the top of the seventh.
The Quakers conclude their season with a 17-21 record, and a 10-12 mark in conference play.
Following the conclusion of game two, nine Earlham seniors were recognized as part of Senior Night. Lally,

Ethan Hear,
Nate Whetstine, Bandi, Rykard, Zonts,
Brendon Gibson and Adelson all saw action in the series, and were honored for their time in Sadler Stadium.
