RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College cross country team is set to begin its 2025 schedule on Friday at the Pat Thomas Invitational on campus.
THE SCHEDULE
Starting with the Pat Thomas Invitational at home, the first home meet for the Quakers since 2017, the Quakers will contest five meets before the conference championship. Earlham then takes on the Grizzly Invite hosted by Franklin College in Shelbyville on September 6th. The Quakers travel to Otterbein University for a meet on September 13th, and Asbury University hosts the Quakers on September 27th. The final meet before the championship comes at Wilmington College with the JennaStrong Fall Classic on October 17th. The season culminates in the HCAC Championship meet on November 1st at Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville.
THE PLAYERS
Cleo Saltz led the Quakers at the HCAC Championship meet last season, clocking a time of 25:47.85 in the 6k race. Saltz finished in 29th place overall in the championship meet.
Peyton Chanley led the way for the men's squad with a PR of 29:44.7 in the men's 8k race. Both Quakers are returning for the 2025 season.
THE COACHES
Jason Davis returns for his second season leading the Quaker cross country programs in 2025, joined this season by Head Track and Field coach Chris Krystofiak for his first fall on campus.
HCAC OUTLOOK
The women's team was tabbed to finish in eighth place in the HCAC Preseason Poll by the conference coaches with 28 votes. The Quakers finished just behind Anderson with 31 votes. The men's squad was picked to finish in ninth place with 21 votes.
