CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Earlham College volleyball team split its pair of action on Saturday to end the Case Western Tournament in Cleveland.
MATCH ONE: EARLHAM 0 CASE WESTERN 3 (25-21, 25-20, 25-16)
Anniyah Harrington led the Quakers in the morning matchup, scoring 11 kills.
Caylee Brandes and
Addison Piatt scored eight kills each.
Ava Walters dished out 19 assists to lead the setters while
Sydney Bleyle tallied 14. Piatt led the back line with 19 digs, and
Madison Bizjak collected 17.
MATCH TWO: EARLHAM 3 MOUNT UNION 1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-17)
Brandes posted a team-high 17 kills with a .217 attack percentage in match two, while
Charish Minor hit double-digit kills for the first time in her career with 10 and a .333 attack percentage.
Walters tallied 25 assists with 19 assists and one kill for Bleyle. Harrington led the defense in the weekend finale with 17 digs and three blocks.
The Quakers host the Dr. Bill Brandes Memorial Tournament next weekend in Druley Performance Gym. Friday's opener against Denison will also serve as the home opener for the Quakers.
