RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's basketball team dropped an HCAC matchup with Berea College 77-70 on Wednesday evening in Druley Performance Gym.
Bud Davis scored a team-high 26 points with five rebounds, five steals and six assists.
Tommy Reddick led the team in rebounding with seven boards, 12 points, four assists and three steals.
Patrick Hardimon put up two blocks, with four rebounds and eight points.
After trailing early, the Quakers scored an 18-4 run spanning five minutes of game time to trail 68-64 with three minutes left. A 3-pointer by Davis brought the score to 73-70 with 90 seconds remaining, and the Quakers called timeout.
The Mountaineers scored two free throws, and the Quakers missed a 3-pointer on their next possession. Still trailing by three, Davis took a shot from the right side of the arc with 16 seconds left, but missed the mark. Berea scored two more free throws, and forced a turnover in the final 10 seconds.
The Quakers will host Hanover College on Saturday at 3 pm in Druley Performance Gym.
