TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Earlham College women's basketball team dropped its season finale at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 70-67 on Wednesday evening.
Berkley Shelton scored a career-high 27 points, with 14 rebounds, two blocks and two assists. Shelton ends the season with 289 rebounds and a new program record.
Amari Wright scored 16 points with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Trailing 59-52 at the start of the fourth quarter, Earlham scored a 5-0 run to trail 66-65 with just over a minute remaining in regulation. The Engineers then scored a layup after a missed free throw, and the Quakers matched with a layup on an offensive rebound. Rose-Hulman made one free throw on its following possession, and the Quakers committed a turnover. The hosts then made one more free throw to take a three-point lead with three seconds left.
