FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Earlham College baseball team dropped a Spring Break matchup against Lasell University 11-4 on Tuesday morning.
Casey Blevins tossed 5.1 innings with six earned runs on 10 hits with six strikeouts.
Braeden Lewis and
Vincent Witte each threw 1.1 innings in relief.
Mitchell Roether went 2-4 with two RBI and one run scored.
Noah Wagster tallied one hit and two steals.
Jonathan Jimenez led off the first inning with a single, and stole second before coming home on an RBI-single by Roether.
Lasell scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning, and three more in the bottom of the second.
Trailing 5-1,
Sean Jeffries led off the top of the fifth inning with a double down the left-field line. Roether tallied another RBI-single before
Noah Rosato blasted a two-run homer. The Lasers scored two runs on one hit and an error in the bottom of the fifth inning, and added two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings.
Earlham takes on Kenyon College at 10 am tomorrow.
