CARMEL, Ind. – On Thursday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2026 All-HCAC Tennis Teams. Nine Quakers were named to the all-conference teams, including
Vanessa Akuaku who was named the conference Player of the Year.
Akuaku led the women's tennis team, playing at No.1 singles all season. At top singles, Akuaku had a 15-3 record, and a 7-0 mark in conference play. Akuaku did not drop a single set in conference competition this season.
Lawrencia Manu was also named as an all-conference player, posting a 16-2 overall record at No.2 singles with a 6-0 conference mark. Akuaku and Manu also teamed up for an 8-3 doubles record.
Mackenzie Davis earned all-conference honors for the second straight season with a 12-11 record. Davis played matches at No.1, No.2 and No.3 singles throughout the season, with a 4-3 record at No.3 singles in conference play.
Paige Hobbs earned an honorable mention nod with a 12-11 singles record for the season. Hobbs was a key factor in HCAC matches with a 4-3 conference record at No.4 singles.
Christos Xirokostas earned a spot on the all-conference team after posting a 6-9 overall record and a 2-4 conference mark at No. 2 singles.
On the men's side,
Ivan Wularu was named to the all-conference team with a 12-4 overall record. Wularu went 4-3 in conference play at the No.4 singles spot. In doubles play, Wularu and Xirokostas went 4-2 at the No.1 position.
Dreek Saha was named an honorable mention for the conference team after posting an 11-6 record for the season. The sophomore went 4-0 in conference play, and 10-9 in doubles competition.
Dev Agrawal earned honorable mention honors with an 8-5 overall record, and a 3-0 conference record at No.6 and No.2 singles.
Juan Diego Pachon Hernandez rounded out the Quakers with an honorable mention nod. The freshman posted a season record of 11-8, and a 4-2 conference record at No.3 singles.
The women's tennis team defeated Anderson University 5-2 in the opening round of the HCAC Tournament on Tuesday. The Quakers will take on Transylvania University on Saturday in Indianapolis. The men's team hosted Hanover College with a 4-3 win on Thursday, the Quakers are set to take on Rose-Hulman on Saturday in Indianapolis.
