CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio – The Earlham College men's soccer team scored a 5-1 win over Ohio Christian University on Saturday afternoon.
Kayden Minnick-Maclure scored his first career goal in just the third minute of play to kick things off.
Mason Paul then added a second Quaker goal with an assist from
Rhoi Phulusa in the 33rd minute for a 2-0 lead at the break.
OCU scored its lone goal in the 50th minute of play, but Earlham struck down any hopes of a comeback with goals from
Levi Smith and Minnick-Maclure in the 59th and 60th minutes. After dishing out an assist in the first half, Phulusa got his first goal of the season with an unassisted shot in the 66th minute of play.
Earlham outshot the Trailblazers 18-2, with 11 shots placed on target. Minnick-Maclure led the squad with four shots on target.
Joshua Gandee tallied all 90 minutes in goal, and collected one save.
Earlham will be back in action on Wednesday at Wittenberg University. Kick off is slated for 4 pm.
