RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2026 season with a 2-1 final score against Albion College on Sunday afternoon in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
Following the first scoring opportunity of the game for the Quakers, Albion drove downfield to take the lead just three minutes into the contest.
Mason Paul scored his second penalty-kick goal of the season in the 12th minute of play to equalize the score early.
After heading into the halftime break tied, the Quakers outshot the Britons 7-4 in the second half.
The Britons drew a penalty kick in the 63rd minute, and capitalized on the opportunity to take the final lead of the match.

After the busy opening week, the Quakers will be back in action on Wednesday evening. Earlham is set to host Spalding University at 5 pm in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
