Austin Hatfield joins the baseball staff as an assistant coach for the 2023 season.
A graduate of EC, Hatfield coached the nationally ranked 2024 Cincy Flames high school summer league team. Under his guidance, the Flames have helped set up over 10 NCAA Division I commitments from his high school squad.
A native of Trenton, Ohio, Hatfield spend two full years at Earlham as a player, and earned all-conference honors in both seasons. He holds the single season record for at-bats, and is third in the record books for doubles in a season. In his EC career, Hatfield recorded 25 doubles, six home runs and 57 RBI.
