Joe Adams will coach his fourth season leading the Quakers in 2026-27.

The 2025-26 season started off strong as Adams led the Quakers to a 78-69 win over Wilmington College to open the season. Amari Wright and Berkley Shelton were named HCAC Honorable Mentions, and Gabrielle Watkins earned CSC Academic All-District honors.

In 2024-25, Adams led Jay Bright to a second consecutive HCAC Honorable Mention season. The Quakers improved by one win over the 2023-24 season, and picked up conference wins over Manchester and Bluffton.

In his first season with the Quakers, Adams led the Quakers to a three-win improvement over the previous season. Jay Bright was named an HCAC Honorable Mention, while freshman Abby Parsons earned a spot on the HCAC Newcomer team.

Adams came to EC after serving as head girls basketball coach at Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana. In addition to leading first and second team all-conference athletes, Adams taught US History and credit recovery classes.

Prior to his time at Anderson, Adams was with the Franklin County School District for three years. While teaching special education, Adams also led the girls basketball team, and coached an all-conference point guard.

"Joe is a fantastic addition to the Earlham athletic department" said Director of Athletics, Adam Hutchinson. "I am excited for him to get to work developing the Earlham women's basketball team."

Adams graduated from Earlham in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Hispanic studies. He also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from EC in 2015. In August of 2016, Joe returned to his alma mater as an assistant men's basketball coach, and head JV coach, he spent two seasons on the EC staff.
