Biography

Diane grew up in Phoenix, AZ and is studying history and museum studies at Earlham with the intention of pursuing a career in archeology. She likes learning from people of the past and rediscovering techniques that can help improve our future. Diane has loved playing soccer from a young age and holds great admiration for Megan Rapinoe of the USWNT,  “because of her strength on and off the field with all that she battles through her life. I think she is probably one of my favorite athletes and definitely one of my heroes for sure.” Growing up, Diane credits a lot of her growth to her family for pushing her to be independent and allowing her to discover things on her own and takes pride in her strength in the face of challenge and adversity. Diane’s ability to overcome adversity was tested with her first season with the Quakers. Being in and out due to injuries the coaching staff believe the HCAC hasn’t seen her full potential and are excited for her to have a breakout season her sophomore year.

Why Earlham?
“I really loved the environment at Earlham, athletically and academically. It was a community and that’s what I wanted in a college. I didn’t really want a big college and I thought Earlham was the perfect size. I think the community really helped my decision. The academic aspect too: all of the options that Earlham has to study and the helpfulness and willingness to want to help you pursue your future and be the best person that you can be.”
