Giulianna, aka “G,” grew up in Kinston, North Carolina, and is studying Biochemistry with the ultimate goal of going to Med School. She is a fan of NC Courage and played a lot of different sports growing up, “I was a sporty kid.” Born with extra ligaments in her ankles she had to go through multiple surgeries after injuries to become the player she is today. “I broke my right ankle and it took me out of sports for a little while. After that I felt this fire in me like I had taken all this for granted … around this time is when playing in college really got into my head as something I wanted to do and I started to grind for it. I was a player that got into the game late, had multiple injuries, but worked my but off, and that is pretty much it.” Her mom has been a big part of her development, “growing up she pushed me to be a hardworking person in general. The mentality that I have today I genuinely feel like I got from my mother, she has always been so supportive, and I owe a lot to her.”

She had a breakout season her first year with the quakers and contributed significantly to a backline that conceded less goals than the season before. As a player Giulianna is a hardworking take no prisoners defender that finds a good balance between finesse and physicality.
