Earlham College

Grace Meister grew up in Hilliard, Ohio, and has become a steady, positive presence within the Quakers. She takes pride in her dedication and work ethic and strives to always encourage those around her. Grace credits both of her parents with shaping her as an individual and developing her mindset as a player. “They always taught me to be kind and put my best foot forward. In soccer, my dad always made sure I was encouraging. He coached me when I was growing up, so on the field he really shaped me as a player because I was always able to stay strong mentally.” 

Grace grew up watching Chelsea with her dad and brother and was inspired by Kelley O’Hara. “I’ve always watched her, and when I was younger, she was always working so hard and always seemed to put her best effort in, and I have always looked up to that.” At Earlham, Grace is studying chemistry with the goal of pursuing a graduate degree in nursing. She has embraced opportunities to grow beyond the classroom, traveling outside the country for the first time through a faculty-led experience in Peru. She has also become co-president of the Pre Health Club, helping bring the organization back to campus and creating opportunities for other students interested in health professions. Her dedication to academics has also earned her two awards in Chemistry. 

Grace’s time at Earlham has been defined by perseverance. After suffering two ACL tears during her college career, she has worked through two difficult recoveries to return to the field for her senior season. Her resilience and impact on the program have earned her the honor of serving as a captain for the Quakers for her senior season.
