  • Class Senior
  • Highschool Terre Haute South Vigo
  • Hometown Terre Haute, Ind.

Biography

Originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, Mallory is studying psychology with the goal of becoming a speech pathologist. She grew up a fan of Carli Lloyd and credits her family, especially her parents, as the biggest influence on who she is today. “My parents were always there for me growing up and supported me, they always had my back.” Their support helped Mallory develop into someone who treats everyone with respect, keeps an open mind, and strives to “accept who they are and not try to change them.”

Mallory’s journey at Earlham has pushed her to step outside of her comfort zone and grow both on and off the field. After competing in soccer, she challenged herself to try something new by joining the track and field team, where she achieved several accomplishments while balancing two college sports. She has earned HCAC All-Academic Honors every semester while competing in both soccer and track. Along the way, Mallory has learned to seek advice from professors and coaches, embrace challenges, and use new experiences as opportunities to grow. Through these experiences, she has gained the confidence to stand up for herself and advocate for others.

Mallory first found soccer after becoming tired of gymnastics. When her mom asked whether she wanted to throw or kick a ball, she chose to kick—and she has been kicking a ball ever since. As a forward, Mallory has a strong understanding of space and consistently finds pockets to help create opportunities for the Quakers.

Why Earlham?

“I chose Earlham because of its academic opportunities, which allowed me to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and participate in unique learning experiences. I have been able to build meaningful relationships with my professors, who provided mentorship and connected me with opportunities beyond Earlham. I have also enjoyed being part of Earlham’s campus community, where everyone knows and supports each other. I have made many life-long friends on the team and will forever be thankful for joining ECWS.”
