2025 Women's Soccer Roster
Biography
Herbert joins the Quakers from Batesville Indiana and plans to study to become a physician's assistant. Nyah grew up going to FC Cincinnati games and they were the first live soccer game she ever went to. A sporty kid she played a little bit of everything. “My parents wanted me to choose one sport once I got older… the other sports I kind of got tired of and quit playing but I couldn’t stop playing soccer.” Nyah started out as a midfielder and attacker growing up and she was able to create assists, one game her coach played her at defense and the position stuck. “Being a defender helped me become more aggressive, and I was able to use my experience as an attacker to be a good defender.” Herbert is most proud of her mentality, positive mindset, and tenacity as a player. “I like shutouts, before games I set my mind that not only is the other team not going to score but they aren’t going to even get a chance.” Herbert gives a lot of credit to her dad for the player that she is today. “My dad was always a big sports guy, he always asks me the hard questions and pushes me to be my best.” A person that really values community, Nyah is excited to meet new people and make new friends while also becoming her own person. ECWS is excited to see what she can bring to the program within her first year!
Why Earlham?
“The girls on the team seem so genuine, and I always had a fun time visiting. The team and coaches on my first visit made it feel really personal and that I wasn’t just a number, I was a person. It feels like I am at home already and I have been excited ever since my first visit.”
