2026 Women's Soccer Roster
Biography
Payton grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and is planning to study Psychology at Earlham. She loves soccer because of the joy she finds competing alongside her friends and teammates. A fan of the United States women's national soccer team, Payton admires Rose Lavelle for her creativity. As an outside back, Payton takes pride in her overlapping runs and ability to deliver quality crosses into the box, using her work rate and attacking mindset to contribute to her team.
Growing up, Payton credits soccer and the adversity she faced through injuries and setbacks for shaping the person she is today. Those challenges taught her the importance of work ethic, self-discipline, and maintaining a positive mindset through difficult moments. Payton is proud of earning Academic All-State honors for soccer during both her junior and senior years of high school and continues to set high goals for herself, including helping the Quakers compete for a conference championship. As she begins her Earlham career, Payton is excited to embrace new communities, experiences, and opportunities while continuing to grow as both a player and a person. Those around her describe her as goal-oriented, self-motivated, dedicated, and generous, and she strives to live by her values of faith, honesty, self-discipline, and family.
Why Earlham?
“I choose Earlham because of my recruitment towards soccer along with the community-based elements of being a smaller-populated, liberal arts college.”
