Biography
Sophia joins the team from Cambridge, Ontario, where a love for soccer that began at age two. A dynamic winger known for her confidence in 1v1 situations and fearless style of play, she draws inspiration from former Glasgow Rangers player Ryan Kent. Sophia shares his position and playing style, and brings that same energy to the field, always looking to take on defenders and create something for her team. She’s proud of how far she’s come in her soccer journey, with her dad playing a huge role every step of the way—from long drives to practices and games to supporting her growth as a player.
At Earlham, Sophia plans to study Exercise, Sport, and Health Studies while immersing herself in a new environment that still feels like home. She was drawn to the college's welcoming community and the tight-knit, supportive team culture that reminded her of her high school back in Ontario. Sophia is described by those who know her as reliable, trustworthy, and always willing to lend a hand. She values putting others first—a lesson she learned from a mentor teacher—and looks forward to forming strong connections, representing the program with passion, and continuing to push her game and her growth to new levels.
