WILMINGTON, Ohio — The Earlham College men's tennis team opened its fall season on Tuesday with an 8-1 win over
Wilmington College.
Earlham swept the doubles competition and won five of the six singles matches.
Henry Levin and
Mike Von Vogt beat Drew Sendek and Conner LaVille 8-1 at No. doubles, while
Brad Maisey and
Nabil Parkar defeated Jake Weil and Dylan Swarmstadt 8-2 at No. 2.
Aaron Weeden and
Johnny Kauffman upended Jon Crook and Josh Kincaid 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, Levin beat Sendek 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1. At No. 2, Maisey beat Swarmstadt 6-1, 6-0. Von Vogt won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, while Kauffman was victorious over Crook 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.
Josue Rivera won 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 6.
The Quakers (1-0) play at Manchester College on Thursday. The non--conference affair begins at 4 p.m.
