ANDERSON, Ind. — The Earlham College women's tennis team dropped a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matches on Saturday at Anderson University.

The Quakers opened the day with an 8-1 loss to Franklin College. Alex Softness picked up Earlham's victory with a win at No. 4 singles.

Anderson beat the Quakers 6-3 to finish the day. Softness again won at No. 4 singles, while Nora Mineva earned a victory at No. 3.

Rebecca Ogle and Olivia Engle teamed up for Earlham's other victory with a win at No. 2 doubles.

Earlham (2-6, 1-5) entertains Sinclair on Wednesday. The non-conference match on the EC Courts is at 4 p.m.
