Quakers Visit Franklin

Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Earlham College women's basketball squad fell 66-45 Saturday afternoon on the road at Franklin College

Bria Sneed (Indianapolis, IN, University) topped the Quakers with 11 points and three assists, while grabbing five rebounds in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair.

Karmell Brown (Columbus, OH, Columbus School for Girls) tossed in nine points to go with five rebounds. Natasha Norman (St. Louis, MO, Vashon) finished with seven points and Princess Darnell (Greenwood, IN, Bishop Chatard) contributed six points and four rebounds.

Desire Hough (Bethlehem, PA, Saucon Valley) had five points with a team-high six rebounds.

Franklin (13-4, 7-3) opened up a 13-2 advantage with 13:31 left in the first half.

Earlham responded with 10 straight points capped by the 3-pointer by Sneed to make it 13-12.

The Grizzlies went on an 8-0 to go on top 21-12 at 6:01. By intermission, Franklin led 37-21.

The decisive run came in the second half as Franklin scored the first 14 points in the period to take a 51-21 led with 13:37 left to play and the Quakers couldn't recover.

The Quakers (0-17, 0-10) entertain Manchester College on Wednesday. The HCAC game on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center begins at 7:30 p.m.
