RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women's basketball team faced the leaders of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on Saturday as the Quakers fell 96-60 to unbeaten Hanover College.
Bria Sneed (Indianapolis, IN, University) led the Quakers 13 points in the contest on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center, while
Princess Darnell (Greenwood, IN, Bishop Chatard) tossed in nine points.
Charvonne Long (Edwardsville, IL, Edwardsville) finished with eight points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Nikki Darrett (Evansville, IN, Bosse) added seven points.
Kate Franks (Hopewell, OH, West Muskingum ) had six points and five rebounds with
Christyan Cooksey (Evansville, IN, Bosse) contributing six points.
The game was tight early after Darrett hit a 3-pointer to make it 18-13 with 14:10 left in the opening stanza, but from that point Hanover (12-0, 6-0) took over and led 61-28 by intermission.
Earlham (0-13, 0-6) visits Defiance College on Wednesday. The HCAC contest begins at 7:30 p.m.
