TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The Earlham College women's tennis team played its final road contest of the season on Wednesday as the Quakers fell to the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 8-1.
The Quakers picked up their victory against the Engineers (8-2, 6-1) at No. 1 doubles in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match as
Alex Softness (Atlanta, GA, Paideia School) and
Olivia Engle (Richmond, IN, Richmond) teamed up for an 8-4 win over Sage Sackett and Melissa Montgomery.
Earlham (2-5, 2-4) plays a conference match at home on Friday against Transylvania University. Originally scheduled for Lexington on Sept. 28, the makeup contest now on the EC Courts begins at 4 p.m.
