CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Earlham College men's tennis team had its two-match winning streak snapped on Wednesday as the Quakers fell 6-3 at Wabash College.
"We were completely outclassed in doubles," Earlham Head Coach Adam Van Zee said. "When you get down 3-0, it's hard to comeback."
Earlham's wins came in singles action.
Henry Levin (Dallas, TX, Highland Park) defeated Peter Gunderman 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1.
Andrey Gavrilov (Yaroslavl, Russia, Universal) won 6-4, 6-4 over Daniel Delgado at No. 2, while
Brad Maisey (Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, Tauranga Boys) beat Zach Lowry 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3.
"Our top singles players continue to perform well and keep us in matches," Van Zee said. "We need to find a better formula in doubles either with a different combination or just improved play."
Earlham (3-2) is idle until the Quakers face St. Scholastica on Monday, March 14, in Orlando, Fla. The match begins at 8 a.m.
