Carr Transitioning to New Role at EC

RICHMOND, Ind. — In a message sent to the campus community on Wed., Jan. 25, 2012, Cheryl L. Presley, vice president and dean of student development, announced that Earlham College Athletic Director Frank Carr will be transitioning to a new role within the College.
 
Carr has accepted the position of Gifts Officer in the Institutional Advancement Office. After a short administrative faculty sabbatical, Carr will begin working with donors and potential donors around the country, some of whom have athletic connections to Earlham.
 
“I can't wait to begin working with Frank in this new role,” says Jim McKey, vice president for institutional advancement. “Frank's long history with the College will assist him in developing these critically needed funds for Earlham.”
 
Carr has served the College as Athletic Director for 10 years and was the Head Football Coach for 17 years.
 
Associate Athletic Director Jill Butcher will assume the role of Interim Athletic Director.
 
Avis Stewart, vice president for community relations, will immediately convene a search committee for a new Athletic Director.
