RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women's tennis team fell 7-2 on Wednesday to Transylvania University on the EC Courts.

Earlham trailed 2-1 after doubles. Jessica Childs (Rehoboth, MA, Dighton-Rehoboth) and Anastasia Vladimirova (St. Petersburg, Russia, UWC Costa Rica) teamed up to beat Victoria Haugli and Caroline Tapscott 8-3 at No. 2.

In singles action, Claire Welsh (Ann Arbor, MI, Pioneer) defeated Haugli 6-0, 6-0 at No.2.

The Quakers (3-6) finish a match against Indiana University-East on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Quakers lead 4-2 in the contest at Glen Miller Park in Richmond.
