RICHMOND, Ind. — Rain showers prevented the Earlham College women's tennis team from completing its non-conference match with Capital University on Friday.

The Crusaders (1-0) were leading 4-1 when play was stopped during the singles action. No date has been schedule for the match to resume.

Jessica Childs (Rehoboth, MA, Dighton-Rehoboth) and Claire Welsh (Ann Arbor, MI, Pioneer) won for the Quakers at No. 1 doubles.

Earlham (3-2) travels to Manchester University on Saturday. The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match begins at 10 a.m.
