NO. MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Earlham College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision on Saturday at Manchester University.

The Spartans (3-2, 2-2) led 2-1 after the doubles action in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference affair.

Olivia Engle (Richmond, IN, Richmond) and Claire Welsh (Ann Arbor, MI, Pioneer) defeated Brandy Leeper and Kara Gilley 8-1 at No. 1 doubles for Earlham's win.

In the singles competition, Welsh picked up a win for the Quakers with a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) victory over Leeper.

Earlham (3-3, 2-3) entertains Transylvania University on Wednesday. The HCAC contest begins at 4 p.m.
