ANDERSON, Ind. — A pair of players gave the Earlham College women's tennis team its only wins on Saturday as the Quakers fell 6-3 at Anderson University.
Olivia Engle (Richmond, IN, Richmond) and
Claire Welsh (Ann Arbor, MI, Pioneer) teamed up to beat Courtney Postmus and Sylvin Schering 9-7 at No. 1 doubles in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match.
In the singles competition against the Ravens (3-5, 3-2), Engle defeated Postmus 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1. Welsh took care of Schering 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 for a victory at No. 2.
The Quakers (3-5, 2-4) play at Indiana University East on Monday at 4 p.m.
