RICHMOND, Ind. â€" With the departure of Earlham College tennis coach Adam Van Zee on Monday, Earlham Assistant Coach Chauncey Nixon has been named the Interim Head Coach for both the men and the women.
Nixon joined the Earlham College tennis staff in the fall of 2013 as an assistant coach for both the men and the women.
Prior to coming to Earlham, Nixon worked in business and as a tennis instructor for several Division I men's players in the Los Angeles area. He also worked as a tennis instructor in Arizona and Virginia.
A 1995 graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in political science, Nixon played for the Sun Devils before turning professional in the International Tennis Association and the French Tennis Federation.
A timetable for a permanent replacement for Van Zee, who left to take a position in the alumni office at Wabash College, has not been established.
