WOOSTER, Ohio â€" The Earlham College women's basketball team began its season on Saturday at the Nan Nichols Classic as the Quakers fell 91-81 to the College of Wooster.
Raven Bryant-Williams scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Quakers. Bria Sneed tossed in 18 points with four assists, while Kasin Spay finished with 14 points.

JaLissa Watt topped the Quakers with nine rebounds and Maya Luney pulled down eight rebounds.
The contest was tight early with both teams holding leads before the Scots (1-0) were able to build an 18-8 advantage by the 11:26 mark of the first half. By intermission, Wooster led 50,29.
In the second half, the Quakers were able to fight back into the contest.
When Luney scored with 7:30 remaining in the affair, the Quakers trailed 74-71.
Spay got the Quakers closer when she hit one of two free throws to make it 76-74 with 5:48 left.
Sneed scored a few possessions later and then hit a free throw to cut the deficit to 80-79 with 4:32 on the clock, but that was a close as the Quakers could get.
Earlham (0-1) finishes the two-day event on Sunday against the University of Mount Union at 1 p.m.
