HANOVER, Ind. â€" The Earlham College women's tennis team finished its season on Wednesday with a 9-0 loss at Hanover College.

The leader in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Hanover (8-2, 7-0) swept the doubles competition to grab an early advantage.

In the tightest match of the day, Claire Welsh fell 6-3, 6-3 to Mackenzie Spicer at No. 1 singles.

The Quakers end the fall at 2-9 overall and 1-7 in the conference.
