EC Falls to Hanover

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women's basketball team dropped a 77-67 decision to Hanover College Saturday on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Hannah Dyer led the Quakers with 14 points in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.

Hannah Franklin added 13 points, while Kiara Scott added eight.

Earlham jumped to a quick 8-4 lead in the first half at the 16:45 mark, which was quickly away taken by Hanover (3-2, 2-1) as the Panthers tied the game 8-8 at 15:46.

By the half, Hanover led 38-35.

In the second half, Dyer's layup with 16:40 left to go tied the game 43-43. The Quakers eventually led 55-50 after Kasin Spay scored at 10:39.
From there, Hanover responded with a 13-point run to go on top 63-55 with 5:24 left in the game.

The Quakers were able to rally back to within two points at 63-61 with 3:48 remaining in the game, but Hanover held off the Quakers.

Earlham (3-5, 0-3) resumes play at Kalamazoo College next Saturday at 2 p.m.
