Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Earlham College women's basketball team lost 88-61 on Wednesday as they traveled to play nationally ranked Transylvania University, the leaders of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Earlham was led by Kasin Spay with 15 points and Hannah Franklin with 14 points against the Pioneers (17-1,11-0), who are No. 15 in the latest d3hoops.com poll.
Mariah Flynn added 11 points.
The Quakers jumped out to a quick 7-4 lead at the 17:32 mark, after a 3-point basket by Hannah Dyer.
After the Pioneers came back to tie the game, the Quakers were able to get the lead back to 22-14 on another Dyer basket.
The Pioneers took the lead by halftime at 42-36.
Transylvania came out in the second half and went on a 19-4 run to take a 61-40 lead.
Earlham (5-13, 2-9) will be back in action at Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
