Quakers Travel to Hanover

HANOVER, Ind. — The Earlham College women's basketball team had three players in double figures on Saturday as the Quakers fell 79-63 in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at Hanover College.

Kasin Spay led the Quakers with 13 points against the Panthers (15-6, 11-3). Spay now has 992 points in her career and she is eight away from becoming the 12th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. She also grabbed 10 rebounds on Saturday.

Hannah Franklin tossed in 12 points, while handing out a team-high six assists. Lexi McFarland added 10 points.

Mariah Flynn finished with nine points and Kiara Scott had eight points. JaLissa Watt led both squads with 14 rebounds and six steals.

The Panthers started out with 12-2 advantage in the opening five minutes as they were on their way to 47-28 halftime lead.

In the second half, Hanover was able to widen its lead before the Quakers closed the gap late in the contest.

Earlham (7-14, 4-10) visits Defiance College for a HCAC game on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
