MANCHESTER -- The Earlham College men's soccer team took a 5-0 loss to Manchester University on Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers fell to 0-13 (0-6 HCAC) while the Spartans improved to 6-7-1 (3-3 HCAC).
The Spartans netted three goals in the first 31 minutes of play, and added a final two goals in the second half.
Caleb Wilgen led the Earlham offense with two shots on goal.
Tyler Smith recorded three saves in the first half of play before
Henry Wildes took over in the second half and collected two saves.
The Quakers were out-shot 15-4 and trailed in corner kicks 8-3.
Earlham will be back in action on Wednesday as the Quakers travel to Transylvania University for a 7 p.m. contest in Lexington, Ky.
