Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Quakers fall in rainy conference matchup

RICHMOND -- The Earlham College men's soccer team lost a wet match on the grass of Matlack-Messer Stadium to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 2-0.

The Quakers fell to 0-9, 0-2 HCAC while the Engineers improved to 5-4-1, 2-0 HCAC.

The game was moved forward 30 minutes to account for incoming weather, but the rain was still prevalent during the match.

Earlham held the Engineers scoreless through the first half but could not hold off the attack for the second 45 minutes.

Akire Wadkins led Earham with two shots, and one on goal.

Tyler Smith recorded 15 saves in between the pipes for the Quakers.

Earlham will return to conference action on Wednesday at Anderson. The match is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
