RICHMOND -- The Earlham College women's soccer team continued its 2021 campaign with a loss to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers fell to 1-7, 0-2 HCAC while the Fightin' Engineers improved to 5-2-1, 1-1 HCAC.
The Engineers scored just before halftime, during the 44th minute when Kyra Hicks put a one-touch volley on a cross from Meghan Garry.
Earlham was outshot 21-6 and trailed in corner kicks 5-0.
Tess Cunningham took two shots for the Quakers and recorded their only shot on goal of the afternoon.
Becca Hancock tallied 12 saves in her goalkeeping effort.
Earlham will be back in action on Wednesday afternoon with a home match against Anderson. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m.
