RICHMOND -- The Earlham College women's soccer team took a 4-0 loss in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action to Anderson University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Quakers fall to 1-8 (0-3 HCAC) while the Ravens improve to 4-5-1 (3-0 HCAC).
Anderson scored quickly off of a penalty kick in just the third minute of play.
The Earlham defense held Anderson to just one goal in the first half, but three more came in the first 25 minutes of the second half.
Becca Hancock collected nine saves in goal for the Quakers.Â
Earlham was out-shot 25-5 and trailed 5-1 in corner kicks on the afternoon.
Eva Lyon led the Quakers with three shots, and one on goal.
The Quakers will continue HCAC play at Franklin College on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. in the men's-women's doubleheader.Â
