Bulldogs get past WBB

RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's basketball team fell to Adrian College 85-48 on Tuesday evening in the last non-conference matchup of the season for the Quakers.

The Quakers fell to 0-10 (0-3 HCAC) while the Bulldogs improved to 3-7 (0-3 MIAA).

Alexis Gibson led the Quakers offensively with 15 points and four rebounds. Amari Bradford tallied 11 points and led the team in rebounds along with Neely Trenshaw at five.

Nearly half of Earlham's points came off turnovers, where Gibson led the stat column with five steals.

Earlham struggled offensively all night, posting just a 24% shooting accuracy. Despite the struggles, the Quakers matched the Bulldogs on points in the final frame with 18 after shooting 3-for-7 from 3-point range in the period.

Earlham will be back after the holiday break with more HCAC competition. The Grizzlies of Franklin College come to Druley Performance Gym on New Year's Day for a 1 pm game. The Quakers will continue the rest of the 2021-22 regular season with conference games occurring on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
