RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's basketball team continued Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference competition with a 75-42 loss to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday evening.
The Quakers fell to 0-7 (0-2 HCAC) while the Fightin' Engineers improved to 3-4 (1-1 HCAC).
Alexis Gibson reached double-digit points on the evening with 11. The freshman also recorded three boards and four steals.
The Quakers scored a layup in the first minute of play before being shut out for over seven minutes of play. Earlham shot just 10% in the first quarter and did not reach double-digits until over seven minutes into the second frame.
The Quakers make a road trip to Anderson University on Saturday where they will continue HCAC play against the Ravens at 3 pm.
