RICHMOND, Indiana – Earlham College women's volleyball strengthened its position in the hunt for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament berth with a doubleheader sweep over Anderson University, Saturday afternoon at the Druley Performance Gym.

Earlham won both matches by 3-0 scores, taking match no. 1 25-20, 25-13, and 25-18, before going on the claim the nightcap, 25-17, 25-15, and 25-19.

Match 1
The Quakers hit .352 for the match with just nine errors while holding the Ravens to a .094 attack percentage in the opening match, with Earlham registering 40 kills. Caroline Mulvihill finished with 12 kills to go with four aces and 12 digs, while Sarah Dickman charting 10 kills and four total blocks. Both Mulvilhill and Dickman committed just one error each.

Earlham finished the match with 7.0 total blocks, with Dickman and Maria Young each logging four total blocks and Olivia Kyrk getting credit for three total blocks.

Erin Wagner recorded 32 assists while running the Earlham offense.

Felicity Bontrager, Jimena Montano, and Tess Perdue each tallied six kills for the Ravens, with Bontrager also recording three aces.

Match 2
Earlham continued its dominance over Anderson in the second match, with Giselle Mora finishing with nine kills and five aces to lead the Quakers offensively. Both Dickman and Kyrk tallied six kills, with Dickman also sprawling for a team-high 15 digs.

The Quakers hit .191 for the match, but smothered the Ravens defensively and held Anderson to a .038 attack percentage. Kyrk finished with four total blocks to lead a Maroon and White squad that charted 7.0 total team blocks for the match.

Sydney McClain was Anderson's top offensively producer with 10 kills, while Bontrager chipped in with eight.

Earlham volleyball returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 16, when the Quakers head to Terre Haute, Indiana, for a single match against Rose-Hulman. Start time will be 7:00 p.m.
